A UNESCO World Heritage Since 1982, the Royal Saltworks at Arc-et-Senans are the masterpiece of Claude-Nicolas Ledoux, a visionary architect from the Age of Enlightenment. Within this former salt factory, an entire museum now brings together 70 models of buildings imagined and designed by the architect, a salt history museum, a permanent exhibition on world heritage, cultural events (exhibitions, concerts) and a garden festival.
